I am really looking forward to this. Five days of Freedom Yoga, 4 hours per day. This will be a training, a practicum, and an exploration. I hope you can be here.
This Freedom Yoga Immersion & Teacher Training
will focus on the art of channeling your own yoga. This requires training, discipline and practice. In easy words, it’s about being “online” all the time. Your practice will become a moving meditation.
Practicing in this way connects us more closely to living in this way. Daring to teach in this way will spread the wisdom message of following our magnificent internal guidance.
Our time together will focus on how to practice, teach and live in a creative manner, emphasizing creative asana sequencing, intuitive alignment, and moving into stillness while being guided from within, and will be a combination of: Discussion, Meditation, Guided Asana Practice, Freeform Asana Practice, Breath Work, Deep Relaxation And Homework. Practitioners of any style are welcome and will find benefit in this approach.
~3 THEMES OF THIS COURSE~
GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE SOURCE OF CREATIVITY: MEDITATION
This is essential. If you want to be creative in your practice, in your teaching, and in your life—which is what “doing Yoga” is really all about—then you must consciously “Get in touch with the Source of creativity.” Do this by going within. The creative Life Force Principle is what brought you to life. It is the Life of life. The most direct way to get in touch with the energy of Life is by sensing deeply into yourself through the practice of meditation.
HOW TO PRACTICE IN A CREATIVE MANNER
This, also, is essential. If you are not practicing in a creative manner, your teaching will become stale and uninspired. Instead, your personal practice should be the source or wellspring of creative teaching. Personal practice is a time of self-renewal, so you can give more fully. Be aware that as a teacher you are no longer doing Yoga just for yourself. You are now also doing it for the good of others. You have become a Bodhisattva in the Yoga tradition. Prominent emphasis will be placed on how to learn and get inspired from your own personal practice.
The art of teaching is a Yoga in itself, requiring sensitivity, intelligence, skill, and guts, as well as lots of practice. The teacher must lure, prod, encourage and inspire, being sensitive both to the needs of the individual and the group. A good teacher is always learning, loves what he or she is doing, and communicates this love.
